There are several conditions that can be unique to pediatric patients.
These include:
- Osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) lesions of the knee, elbow, or ankle
- ACL tears in patients who are skeletally immature (open growth plates)
- Kneecap (Patellar) instability
- Injuries/fracture near or involving the growth plates
Dr. Mathew has specifically trained to treat these rare injuries utilizing novel techniques to optimize recovery for these patients.
